Layout #5 - August 2008

Main improvements were overhaul of Tucson to add two circular loops I use primarily to warm up my old trains prior to doing an operational run. Also installed three additional video cameras so I can have clearer view of "hidden" areas of the layout when I do the train operations.

I have set up a wireless camera on a flat bed rolling stock (along with its 9v battery pack) that I run when I do operations so I have clear view of where the train is and how its running. See sidebar to see videos from the wireless camera doing a tour of the layout.

Acquired MRC Symphony 77 sound system that now enables real train and railroad sounds when I do my operations.

Moved down my rolling stock collections from the display case which has become unreacheable with the latest Tucson addition and brought plastic drawers where they are now neatly stored and very accessible.

Layout #4 - May 2008

Major improvement were changing the flimsy bridges to a wider more stouter design - thus Prescott and Yuma was burn. Also added city of Tucson right across Prescott. First video camera also installed (old baby monitor) so I can see clearly a problematic double switch area in Tempe. Acquired MRC City and Farm Sound System.
